Why Quality and Bioavailability Matter

At Bioteen, we focus on bioavailable nutrient forms - ingredients that the body can recognise and utilise efficiently. For example, we use methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (Vitamin B6), which are the already-active forms found in the body.

Ingredient Selection Checklist
- Identity & authenticity – verified botanical, dairy, or mineral origin with full traceability documentation.
- Nutrient form verification – confirmation that the ingredient form selected offers proven bioavailability, stability and efficacy.
- Purity & safety – screening for contaminants such as heavy metals, residual solvents, microbes, and allergens.
- Functional integrity – assessment of ingredient behaviour in the intended formulation (taste, solubility, stability, interaction with other actives).
- Supplier reliability – audits of manufacturing standards (cGMP, ISO, HACCP), ethical sourcing practices (e.g., UTZ certification), and consistency of supply.
- Documentation audit – certificates of analysis, allergen declarations, full ingredient list, non-GMO and halal status, and country-of-origin records reviewed and filed.
Only ingredients that pass all checkpoints are approved for trial in our formulations for recipe development and thereafter for production.
